About me.
I am a counselling psychologist with experience working with clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds, neurodiversities, sexualities, and gender identities. I am neurodiversity affirming and have experience working with clients who present with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma (PTSD), relationship difficulties, sex, sexuality, gender identity, ADHD, Autism, and nonsuicidal self-injury.
My priority as a therapist is to work collaboratively with you to identify your goals and create a treatment plan. I use in integration of therapies including cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy to best suit your individual needs. My underlying training is based in humanistic and existential therapies which highlight the importance of the therapeutic relationship and position you as the expert of your own experiences.
Therapy is about you and your needs. We will work at your pace towards the changes you want.
Fees and rebates.
Standard consultation: $200.00 (50 minute duration)
Medicare rebate (under Medicare Better Access Scheme): $92.90
Out-of-pocket expense: $107.10
*Please note: Clients are eligible to receive a rebate through Medicare for a maximum of up to 10 appointments per calendar year- only if a Mental Health Treatment Plan referral under the Medicare Better Access Scheme has been obtained from their General Practitioner.
Clients are welcome to attend without a Mental Health Treatment Plan referral, thereby paying the standard fee per appointment; or they may be eligible to claim a portion of the cost through their private health insurer (dependant on the insurer, level of cover and finer details).
